What changes do children demand today?

There is more and more discussion about proper children upbringing. We are constantly asking ourselves how to raise our children. And we are constantly criticising how our parents were raising children. But I notice the following … ‘Young people’ know really well how to criticise but do we know how to fix our parents’ mistakes – this is under a big question mark.

I can definitely say that in case we do not change the way we raise children we will not make any progress. Even worse … we will make even greater damage than our parents did. Why? Because we have the chance, knowledge, and information that are a lot more accessible as once were. Because we are compelled to make changes, as the Universe dictates us and does not allow us to make the mistakes of the old paradigm. Therefore ‘the penalties for ignoring’ are a lot bigger and a lot heavier. It is so for us and for our children. Of course our children will have freedom of choice in the future and they can decide for a positive change and correction of our mistakes. Still, why would we not make a chance for the better and enable them to continue life from the level that originates from a firm foundation based on Love and higher intelligence.

The author Nikki Pattillo in her book Children of the Stars: Advice for Parents and Star Children writes that star children want to improve the world in several ways. They would like to tell us we have our angels and guides that want to help and guide us. They strive for a more peaceful world that would base on awareness of Oneness. For sure they are trying very hard for their help and compassion to reach those who need it most. They also help the environment and animals in many ways. The writer adds that the raising of star children is not simple. It is time for a change and new energy on this planet therefore the relationships between parents and children and more important than ever. These children will reflect everything that is in the hearts and the thoughts of their parents. If the children will change old educational patterns, they will develop in healthy and well educated people.

One of the vital changes is improvement of scholar and pre-scholar system because they are too rigid and old-fashioned. Children today are essentially different than they were in the past e. g. thirty years ago. Family is the most influential environment on the child’s life and development. The second most influential are kindergartens and schools. The author Meg Blackburn Losey in her book The Children of Now writes that nursing a child as an entire being (including body, mind, and soul) is vitally important. For the moment we know only how to ‘feed’ his mind but not his soul. She reminds us of the chaos and the cruelty of institutions like schools that cause considerable inconvenience in a child’s feeling. The chaos can be literally painful for a child. We can say the same for kindergartens, too. The time of great changes has come and it is time for us to change our relationships to everything and everybody. It is time that evolution has a free path and goes its own way and creates the highest good for all. Nursing today’s children, creating new environments, and accepting new learning methods are reflected in social awareness. The children will be infinitely grateful to us for that which will be seen in their sparkling eyes. We will enable children to grow into strong individuals and they will know how to use their power and talents in every part of their life.

A question in consideration: When we enter a kindergarten (or school) or any institution … how do we experience it? How do we feel? What do the walls there look like? Are they grey or green? What does the floor there look like? Is the floor cold and unpleasant? Is it tidy? What colours are used? What furniture is used? How is the lighting? Do sharp edges prevail? Are there any signs of nature and life (plants and animals)? Does the atmosphere of the building indicate low budget and rigid rules? Are we afraid? If so, why is that so? Are the reasons old-fashioned thinking, rigid rules and systems, and stiff authority … Paradox can be that environment is uninteresting and creatively uninspiring and at the same time very irritating because of the video and audio noise. (Blekbern 2010, 180-184)

There are too many pictures and children’s creations in some kindergartens (or schools). This is what we call visual noise. Why would we not put the presentation of children’s creations, projects, and pictures to one area and call it ‘The Wall of Dreams’ and leave the other walls empty. The creations would be on a special place that way, because they truly are special. Colours have an exceptional meaning in the creation of peaceful and less chaotic space and environment. Colour is energy – it contains certain frequencies that influence our feelings and also our activity. We need bright and cheerful colours. Already one colour can change a space and the way how we feel in it. (Blekbern 2010, 180-184)

The furniture and the use of round edges where possible is also important. Ideal place would be circular without any edges at all. This way it is in accordance with sacred geometry – shapes that are the foundation stone of the Creation. Shapes that cause a positive effect are those known as Platonic solids. They are composed from the most elementary forms in the Creation: spheres, four triangular pyramids, cubes, and squares. (Blekbern 2010, 180-184)

Today’s children are distinctly aware of the environment, nature, and the planet in general. Plants and animals e. g. fish in the aquarium are a great improvement in the space. Children can take care of plants and animals and establish contact with them. They can observe and talk with them. They can trust them with their little secrets. Children need plenty of freedom and exercise and playing outside in nature. Allow them to walk barefoot when possible. Let them feel what the energy of the Earth is telling them and how pleasantly it can affect them.

Dr. Ranko Rajović, neuroendocrinologist and author of best-seller Child’s IQ – parents’ concern, president of committee at Mensa International for gifted children and author of the NTC (Nikola Tesla Center) programme is also aware of the mentioned problems. As neuroendocrinologist he brings the newest medical discoveries about brains in pedagogics. He says we need to teach our children to think … through game, associations, visual associations, and exercise. Games as: marbles, rubber band skipping, hopscotch, and tag and chase … These are ideal games. Accommodation, orientation, and balance develop when playing them; child must consider where to hide. In short, child must think.  But we forgot these games, they are gone. Child sits and stares in the computer. Parents buy harmful games to their children, too. But we have to offer them games that demand movement and thinking. (http://www.rtvslo.si/znanost-in-tehnologija/reproduktivno-ucenje-je-napaka-ali-kaj-imata-skupnega-sipa-in-france-preseren/305041)

It is proven that intelligence is not inherited. The number of nerve cells is inherited. Connection of these cells in synapses depends on a necessary stimulant. Nerve cells need to think, they need to work to survive and it is in the nature of a child to think. Stimulative environment is essential for developing synapses but the problem is that we do not provide this environment for them. A child is born with a certain number of synapses and the intense formation of new synapses starts after birth. The largest number of synapses is formatted from third to fifth year of age. Therefore the major learning period is before a child reaches the age of seven. This does not mean that a child learns mathematics but he has to have games that will calm these brain parts. It is like some sort of a computer: The bigger the casing is by the age of seven the easier will the knowledge get in there. An interesting thing is the difference between applicable and reproductive knowledge (multiple repeating of learning material): applicable knowledge is the highest form of knowledge because of the parallel connecting of pieces of information in our brains. The ones who learn reproductively use the smaller part of brains (five to ten per cent of brains). The ones who learn on a higher physiological level with the help of associations use at least twenty to thirty per cent of their brains. E. g. the Chinese need to think while reading therefore the effect is exceptional. Europeans can read like robots. All of us have experienced reading without knowing what we had actually just read. This cannot happen to a Chinese: until he is reading he is totally focused and he knows what he is reading because other parts of brains are active. This is not a secret; this is the key to teach children to progress from lower level of learning to a higher level. These are the exceptional sentences that were told by Ami, the child of stars: “The Fundamental Law of the Universe, but that’s not a belief, it’s a Law, a universal Principle proven scientifically and spiritually, because science and spirituality are the same for us. They’ll be the same for you people, too, when earthly science discovers the tremendous energy called love.” (Barrios 1991, 54)

We have come to an era where science will not survive without spirituality. The entire humanity will not survive if we will not begin to live in accordance with Fundamental Law that Ami mentions. But the changes are already happening. I dare to say – the children are playing the most important part in all of this. They are the carriers of new energy, a new dimension, new essences, and new knowledge … in fact, they carry ancient knowledge that was ruthlessly suppressed and forgotten. We have destroyed ancient civilisations e. g. Atlantis that already had everything our hearts long for today. I say again … the thing that our hearts truly long for.

The issue of our time is that our heart and our mind are not in a harmony. The mind does not hear the heart and goes the way the heart does not want to go. A conflict arises, an illness occurs. This is the situation of the today’s humanity. However, we have great scientific achievements … And we have a heart. We have everything we need. We just have to join them. When the mind and the heart unite they will form a higher intelligence. And the higher intelligence is Love.

Scholar and pre-scholar system require changes. Children demand them, because the system mistakenly shows them as ineffective. Science and spirituality are separately suggesting changes. They are unwinding … slowly. We are aware that we need to put in a lot more effort, energy, time, patience, and last but not least, money. The key to success is Oneness, which means that science and spirituality will need to become the same (as Ami, the child of stars says). I dare to say that when we overcome the mentality on this field, the doors to success and happiness will be opened. Beautiful kindergartens and schools that are nice to children on every level (body, mind, and spirit) will develop.
